Zenith, Access Bank frustrate customers with bad service delivery

Despite priding itself as continental and global banks, customers of Zenith Bank Plc and Access Bank are regretting the choices they have made in saving their money with these financial institutions.

With the purported high turnovers the banks declare every quarter and annually, one begins to wonder if the figures are actually real or fabricated just to get local and global rankings.

For three weeks now, Zenith customers have not been able to carry out online transactions due to their bad network.

This writer happens to be a victim. Online and mobile transactions have been frustrating and when hoped that it would be for a short time, the problem has persisted.

At Transcorps Hilton Hotel in Abuja, this afternoon, the writer saw over a hundred customers lamenting with no hope.in sight.

These are banks that pride to be innovative yet they are laid back technologically.

For over two weeks, it has been very difficult opening my apps on my mobile.phone, let alone making transfers.

Three nights ago, I made a transfer of N300,000 from Zenith bank to another zenith bank and 48 hours after, the beneficiary is yet to get the transfer.

A friend of mine who chose to be anonymous also explained his plight last night while he wanted to get dinner for.his wife but had to walk away after many attempts to.use the bank cards.

The worse is that the banks don’t care about the plights of customers.

The CBN should as a matter of urgency focus on the shady affairs of these banks and ensure that customers are satisfied.

They should stop shortchanging their customers. I have lost so much within the past weeks to these banks in the form of.being debited unnecessarily.

Even though I have switched loyalty, I think the regulatory bodies should look into this anomaly and audit them.and reveal their true profit and loss status instead of flattering itself and the public with billions of u existing profit declaration every year.

Technology drives businesses globally and any institution that cannot move with the pace, should be left out. Perhaps another recapitalization is needed.
