President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated former Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and Osun All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Bola Oyebamiji, on his 60th birthday, describing him as a steadfast technocrat and loyal party man.
Oyebamiji, a veteran banker and administrator, recently stepped down as NIWA boss to vie for the APC governorship ticket in Osun State.
In a statement on Wednesday, President Tinubu praised the celebrant’s contributions to public service, the financial sector, and party development, noting that Oyebamiji has remained “a dependable figure in Nigeria’s financial and political spheres.”
The President highlighted Oyebamiji’s distinguished banking career, where he earned a reputation for discipline, professionalism, and strategic leadership, before transitioning into public administration and partisan politics. Tinubu lauded his “intellect, integrity, and exemplary work ethic,” qualities he said have continued to enrich Osun State and the country at large.
“He is a loyal party man, a trusted associate, and a patriotic Nigerian whose dedication to duty reflects the ideals of responsible leadership,” the President said.
Tinubu wished Oyebamiji good health and greater accomplishments in the years ahead, acknowledging his “enduring contributions to the APC and to national development.”
