In a significant step towards advancing automotive technology and sustainability, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today (Friday) commissions the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Kia Portland facility for Kia Hybrid and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles in Utako, Abuja.
This facility is set to become a hub for Kia Hybrid and CNG Conversion, Filling, Reverse Engineering, and Training services.
Kai Nigeria in a statement disclosed that the landmark event will signify a major milestone in supporting the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda. This initiative highlights our dedication to sustainable energy alternatives and a clean energy ecosystem.
Describing the event as move to boost local capacity in CNG technology, it said that the new center is equipped with cutting-edge technology and staffed by highly trained professionals. It will offer comprehensive training programs for technicians, engineers, and other stakeholders, fostering the domestication of CNG expertise and promoting green energy solutions across the nation.
Managing Director of Dana Motors, Jacky Hathiramani lauds this development as a groundbreaking moment for Nigeria’s energy and automotive sectors. He emphasizes Kia’s dedication to providing Nigerians with innovative, eco-friendly, and cost-effective automotive solutions.
