As the recent crisis that is threatening to tear apart the opposition, New Nigeria Peoples’ Party (NNPP) lingers, the parent body of the party, the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has held a nation prayer in Lagos, for peace to return to the party founded by the freight forwarding association about 23 years ago.
In a prayer session at the NAGAFF Headquarters on Thursday, the members of the foremost freight forwarding group in Nigeria, led by their Deputy National President, Mr. Simeon Nwonu said NNPP is a party on the move and cannot be stopped by any man, “because with God all things are possible.”
In a message titled: “Controversy,” Pastor Jewell Ozor of the Evident Assembly Ojo, Lagos; called on God to bring to an end cause controversy between those who have risen against the party, threatening to scatter it.
He said, “God does not keep silent in the mist of controversy, he will command the storm to be calm, every great man or great destiny must be prepared for controversy to move to another level.”
The association also prayed for the spirit of God to touch Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the NNPP who was reportedly expelled by party for anti-party activities to begin to break away from sycophants who are believed to be pulling wool over his face, holding him with the intent of tearing the party to shreds.
He said in the midst of the controversy rocking NNPP, there are clear indications; God is preparing the political party for a brighter future, noting that victory is sure for the party
“Every great person should be prepared for controversies. Abraham and Lot is an example of this topic, same goes to Moses, Israel as a nation also suffered this same controversy.”
Still on controversy, Pastor Uzor quoted Romans 8 vs 31, Acts 4:15, Act 5, Revelation 12:7-9, Matthew 12:20, etc.
He tasked NAGAFF members to pray fervently for God intervention towards a peaceful political party.
Speaking at the sideline of the national prayer session, Dr Boniface Aniebonam, who doubles as Founder of NAGAFF and Founder of NNPP, said that the essence of the prayer session was to call for peace in the over 23 years old political party which is said has a vision to herald a new Nigeria for all Nigerians.
He said, “It is not good for the House to be in turmoil, the Kano episode was an example, this time around, the internal crisis does not make sense and it is even avoidable, saying as the father figure of the party he gave the party platform to Senator Kwankwaso to contest the 2023 presidential election free of charge. “I went further contribute financial to his campaign. I had kept quiet since the crisis started in the party but was taken aback when Senator came on a national TV with a mutilated the flag and logo of the party while I still alive. I gave him the party platform and by my position in the party, I am in passion of the originals of the party’s properties. Be that as it may, I expected them to build on the success of the Kano election victory for NNPP, but at the end this crisis, everyone on the right side will be respected,” Dr Aniebonam stated.
