Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike has plunged into chaos as students take to the streets in protest against alleged mistreatment by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Iwe.

Reports indicate that Dr. Iwe’s purported harsh actions, including forcibly removing students from exam halls and implementing drastic fee hikes, have sparked outrage among the student body.The atmosphere on campus is tense as final year students, along with their counterparts, express their frustration over the unilateral decision to increase fees, despite the institution’s status as a Federal University. With grievances reaching a boiling point, students have resorted to taking matters into their own hands, staging protests across the university grounds.

In a plea for assistance, students have called upon authorities, including the Governor, to intervene and address the dire situation.
