Fubara moves against Wike’s men, orders withholding of LG’s monthly allocation

As 21 out of the 23 Rivers State Local Government Areas Chairmen appointed by the immediate past governor of the state, now Minister of FCT, Nyson Wike, declares full their support to the APC legislators in the state House of Assembly to impeach Governor Fubara, the governor has in return has ordered the withholding of the monthly allocations to the local government councils.

Advocacy Times learnt that the 21 LG chairmen had further called on President Tinubu to intervene while applauding Rivers APC for calling for the impeachment of Governor Sim Fubara.

The LG Chairmen said Governor Sim withheld allocation of the LGAs since April and has also refused to convene the Joint Account Allocation Committee Meeting (JAAC) which is the prerequisite for the release and disbursement of funds between the state and LGAs.
