The School of Eloquence, Nigeria’s leading institution for public speaking and communication training, has announced the successful conclusion of the Inspired Teachers Masterclass, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in collaboration with Lagoon School, Lekki.
A statement by the school disclosed that the masterclass took place at the School of Eloquence headquarters in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, August 26th, 27th, and 29th, 2024.
According to the statement by the Programmes Coordinator, School of Eloquence, Chritine Davies, the event was attended by 108 educators from Lagoon Primary and Secondary School, Lekki.
The statement noted that the Inspired Teachers Masterclass was designed to empower educators with advanced communication and leadership skills to enhance their teaching effectiveness; adding that the initiative highlighted the School of Eloquence’s commitment to supporting educational excellence and nurturing teachers who inspire and lead future generations.
Key Highlights of the Masterclass Included:
Advanced Communication Skills: Techniques to improve clarity, confidence, and engagement in teaching.
Motivational Strategies: Tools to sustain high levels of student motivation and participation.
Leadership in Education: Empowerment for teachers to take on leadership roles within their schools and communities.
Personal and Professional Growth: Encouragement of resilience, innovation, and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
Advocacy Times learnt that the masterclass was led by the Dean of the School of Eloquence, Mr. Ubong Essien, CSP, a highly regarded public speaker known as Nigeria’s Mister Motivator.
Mr. Essien, with his decades of experience in communication and leadership training, provided teachers with valuable insights and practical skills to enhance their performance and impact in the educational sector.
“We were honored to partner with Lagoon School for this significant initiative.
“Teachers are the cornerstone of our educational system, and by investing in their growth and development, we were investing in the future of our children and our nation,” Mr. Essien said.
This event is built on the existing collaboration between the School of Eloquence and Lagoon School, which began in March 2024, as part of their co-curricular programme, has the School of Eloquence providing public speaking training to students of Lagoon School every Monday, helping them develop essential communication skills from an early age.
The Inspired Teachers Masterclass underscored the School of Eloquence’s dedication to impactful CSR efforts that empower both educators and students.
