BREAKING: Mpu community rejoices as Ekweremadu’s wife, Beatrice returns from UK prison

Beatrice Ekweremadu, the wife of former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, has been released from a United Kingdom prison.

She was sentenced to serve a six-month sentence in 2023, and has now returned to Nigeria.

Our correspondent learnt that Mrs. Ekweremadu arrived in Nigeria on Tuesday, and is currently in Abuja.

Advocacy Time learnt that there is currently jubilation in Ekweremadu’s home town, Mpu, following the return of Beatrice.

Her husband, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, is still serving his 10-year prison sentence in the UK for his involvement in the highly publicized organ harvesting case.

The couple, along with Dr. Obinna Obeta, was convicted for their roles in the case, which sparked widespread attention and debate in Nigeria.
