Governor Abba Yusuf on Saturday laid the foundation for a three-layer interchange bridge at the Dan Agundi junction, and a clover leaf overpass bridge at the Tal’udu roundabout, both in Kano metropolis.
Breaking the news in his X (twitter), Governor Yusuf disclosed that the N27 billion worth major projects were initiated to reduce traffic congestion, ease travel, beautify the city, control pollution, and develop infrastructure in our ancient city.
He said that Kano, as a mega city deserves massive infrastructural transformation to cater for the needs of the over 10 million urban dwellers and improve the socio-economic well-being of residents of the city.
“Furthermore, it has been a tradition from our predecessors to finance both the gigantic, and grassroots level projects through the joint-account managed by the state and local government councils.”
He appealed to the people using the project routes and those close to the sites to exercise patience for the inconveniences they might face.
