JUST IN: Fed Govt Girls Collage old students stranded in Owerri as Imo Govt books all hotels

As the Imo State Government reportedly books all the hotels in Owerri, apparently to put their opponents at a disadvantage, ahead the November 11 governorship poll in the state, the Old Students of the Federal Government Girls Collage Owerri, who arrived the state capital on Thursday from across the world for their 5th Global Reunion were denied their reservations by the Protea Hotel by Marriott Owerri, saying all rooms have been paid for by the politicians.
Advocacy Times learnt that this is even as the old students had made their reservations months earlier ahead their 5th annual global reunion.
A voice speaking in frustration in the video shot at the venue by the old students, lamented that the ‘girls’ travelled all the way to Owerri for their reunion but the hotel gave out their accommodation to politicians without informing the old students about the cancellation of their reservations.
She further wondered how such a reputable global brand could treat its clients so shabbily, prioritizing politicians, leaving the old students stranded at the hotel lobby.
“A very unfortunate incident is taking place at Protea Hotel by Marriott Owerri, where reservations for old students of Federal Government Collage Owerri, who have reservations in the hotel, were left disappointed. What we heard is that inspite of the fact that reservations were made months ahead of this event, at the last minute, the hotel Management gave the reservations to politicians, leaving many of the old girls of Federal Government Collage stranded, no place to stay, no place to sleep, completely disenchanted,” the voice.
Voices could also be heard at the background in the video, lamenting that they have not slept after their long trip to the city, only to be left to loiter about at the hotel lobby with no place to keep their luggage’s and rest.
