DailyNewsWire notes that Mr. Sanusi Adebayo of Seme Border Chapter was also sworn in as a member of ASECO during the swearing in ceremony of Nze Igwe.
The event was attended by Chapter chairman and ASECO members.
Farinto, in his speech on the occasion, advised the new chairman and other members of ASECO to be transparent and shun bribery as they execute their assignment.
He stated that the appointment of the new ASECO chairman was ratified at a meeting of the NECOM and BOT members two days earlier. He noted that the idea was to avoid vacuum after the passage of Anokwuru.
Dr Farinto said, “There shouldn’t be a vacuum and that was the reason this appointment had to be made”.
He expressed optimism that the new ASECO leadership will do a good job, adding that there was a new dawn in ANLCA.
“If the election is successful, it will herald a rebirth of the association and its lost glory will return,” Dr. Farinto said.
